• Time for a summer clean-up

If you missed the chance to spring clean your home earlier in the year, then here are our top 10 tips for a summer spruce up.

    1. Write a list of jobs, prioritise and get all your equipment together and the products you need before you begin
    2. Complete one room at a time
    3. Tackle all the bigger jobs first, such as washing bedding and mattress toppings.
    4. If their care labels say you can, then you could also wash pillows and duvets
    5. Wash or dry clean your curtains and clean the inside of your windows
    6. Sort out anything that needs to go into storage and repair items that need repairing and spruce up tired furniture and rooms with a lick of paint
    7. Remember the outside of your home will need a spruce-up too
    8. Wash windows and woodwork, wipe down front doors and any door furniture, check pots and any plants - give everything a wash, tidy, brush up and sort out
    9. Get some new pots, plants, garden furniture and ornaments to give your outside area a mini makeover in readiness for summer entertaining
    10. Also, check your patio paving for slippery algae or moss, which needs to be cleaned off too.
