If you’ve picked up a houseplant recently but have no idea how to take care of it, follow our helpful guide below:
Do not place houseplants near radiators or fires. Most prefer cooler growing conditions.
Try to avoid fluctuating temperatures and draughts, which can cause the leaves or flowers to drop.
Move plants closer to windows for good growth, however, be sure not to place them behind net curtains, where cold air can get trapped, and ensure foliage doesn’t touch the cold glass.
You should also place plants in cooler rooms and be careful not to over water them.
Let the surface of the compost dry a little before watering again and be sure they don’t stand in liquid.
